Recipes:
Chocolate Spiders
2/3 cup chocolate chips
Saucepan or microwave-safe bowl
2 cups chow mein noodles
Baking sheet
Wax paper
Small red candies
Melt the chocolate chips in a saucepan on the stove or melt them in a bowl in the microwave. Toss the noodles with the melted chocolate. Have your child drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Add two candy eyes to each spider. Let the chocolate harden. Store the spiders in the refrigerator.

Make the following Halloween lollipop treats:
Spiders: Twist four pipe cleaners around each lollipop stick. Bend and shape them to form spider legs. Glue googly eyes onto the candy.(If you would like, trim the stick just beyond the pipe cleaners.)
Ghost: Cover each lollipop with a tissue. Wrap a rubber band jut below the candy to form a ghost. If you like, use a marker to add a face. Attach thread or string to the ghosts and hang them from the ceiling or doorway.
